Who: Bowhill Engineering is a family business, based on the River Murray in rural South Australia. Our growing business contains creative & enthusiastic staff who enjoy being technically stimulated in an innovative environment.
What: We specialise in Heavy Structural & Mechanical Engineering, both of these disciplines encompasses modern 3D Design.
What do we stand for: At Bowhill Engineering we have an Attitude of Excellence, in everything we do we aim to do it to the highest of standards. Having said this we are strongly focused on our people and have been able to create and enjoy a dynamic culture. Our purpose is to maintain and build on the core fundamentals that make up our current culture. History
Bowhill Engineering began with Brendon Hawkes as a rural machinery maintenance, repair and modification workshop in the early 1970’s and grew because of demand. The surrounding farmers and horticulturalists had embraced the opportunity to source a nearby workshop for their mechanical repairs. This focus started to change when Simon and Jeremy, sons of Brendon and Averil, became more involved in the business. Their involvement saw a significant swing towards fabrication and construction in the mid 1990’s. This change saw an increasingly greater demand of electricity and a decision was made to relocate to the township of Bowhill to enable access to sufficient 3-phase power at around the same period.
