Welcome

In February 2007 Jeremy Hawkes M/D of Bowhill Engineering identified a strategic opportunity to combine regional SA fabrication capacity to work closely together on larger projects.

The driving force behind this initiative was the size and diversity of projects that were becoming typical and that were forecast due to the resources and defence booms looming.

For this opportunity to arise, like minded companies with great reputations, serious capabilities and commitment were needed to add strength to the concept. Horwood Bagshaw and Jacksons Australia just so happened to be looking to further develop their involvement in the heavy fabrication industry and this ultimately saw the forming of a consortium of highly skilled companies with complimentary abilities and substantial resources now known as the Murraylands Fabrication Consortium.

During the development stages of the consortium, the companies started to realise that their complimentary and diverse skills worked very well together in providing a very high level of capacity, which was extremely well suited to projects in the mining and heavy fabrication industries.

The now close knit and highly organised team have a close and trusting relationship with carefully detailed and established rules and directives.
